We are hiring an Agronomist Manager

We are looking for a motivated, passionate and highly skilled Agronomist Manager, to join our Product team.

Location: Germany (Remote)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Product Development and Field Trials:

  • Act as a key stakeholder in product development, particularly in designing robust microbiome field trials for client-driven product discovery.
  • Manage the delivery of field trial results, providing insights, recommendations, and innovative solutions in key agricultural markets.

Client Relationships and Product Evolution:

  • Develop and maintain long-term R&D relationships with clients, performing in-depth analysis of their products and soils using Gheom and BeCrop technology.
  • Partner with Sales & Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality trials in key markets.
  • Translate technological advancements into meaningful value for diverse clients including manufacturers, retailers, growers, and CPGs.

Strategic Client Value Communication and Market Insight:

  • Develop and implement strategies to demonstrate the company's technology value to various client segments.
  • Continuously gather market insights to inform product development and positioning, aligning with trends and client needs.

Communication and Training:

  • Serve as the primary contact for client engagement, deployment, and training on new solutions.
  • Communicate effectively the scientific, agronomic, and economic benefits of products to clients, fostering trust and strong relationships.

Data Analysis and Documentation:

  • Utilize and actively engage with internal analysis tools for microbiome data analysis. ● Maintain excellent documentation skills, ensuring accurate and comprehensive recording of trial data and findings.

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Lead the Agronomist teams, driving innovation and aligning with strategic objectives. ● Manage and coordinate effectively EU & US Agronomy teams, ensuring cohesive operations and strategies.
  • Management of workload distribution, clients, projects, and team hours, in coordination with the sales department.

Job competencies & Personal attributes:

  • Years of experience: +10
  • PhD with industry experience in Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Crop and Soil Science, or Genomics
  • Proficient at microbiome data analysis, including bioinformatics tools and both public and private databases
  • Broad understanding of scientific experimental design and statistical analysis
  • Passion for client interaction
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Strong proactivity and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven experience in team management
