YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Senior Leader (Head of Fleets) within the Glovo Operations team. The key mission is to create and develop a new team in charge of managing Glovo's fleet of in-house couriers, who will provide delivery services for third parties. This person will also define and execute the strategy for the Spain in-house courier fleet.

THE JOURNEY

  • Leading a new team in the operations department to manage the end-to-end delivery process of in-house couriers
  • Own, monitor and analyze customer experience and delivery performance by maintaining and developing KPIs and SLAs ensuring the right tradeoff between maximum efficiency & best in class customer experience
  • Contribute and lead major projects to grow our in-house courier service capabilities by bringing innovative ideas to improve the service and increase efficiency
  • Contribute to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with central operations and the Spanish Leadership team
  • Lead a large team of operations supervisors and analysts managing thousands of salaried courier employees
  • Measure performance provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable
  • Developing and maintaining strong communication processes to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of accurate information across various Glovo’s teams
  • Work closely with other support teams, including People, Finance, Health and Safety and Commercial
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the country to improve the operational performance of the couriers

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management roles, preferably in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record in leading large teams, with experience in managing operational supervisors and analysts.
  • Hands-on experience with process improvement, cost optimization, and strategy development.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using data to drive performance improvements and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of KPIs, SLAs, and performance monitoring systems.
  • Deep understanding of fleet management, delivery logistics, or last-mile operations, preferably in hyperlocal or e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
