Clinical Data Scientist at Savana
Major Accountabilities where this role is involved:
- Support in the development of Savana Research Study Protocols: draft the analysis strategy for each study objective, calculate minimum sample size for a Savana Research Study.
- Leadership in the planning and development of Statistical Analysis Plans to fulfill the requirements reflected in Savana Research Study Protocols.
- Data cleansing, wrangling/munging from raw data to analysis-ready data formats.
- Leadership in the development of new analytic strategies/pipelines to improve and maintain the Clinical Data Science analysis workflow.
- Support in the development of NLP models and in the analysis of NLP model output.
- Performance of statistical analysis, application of different statistical methods ranging from descriptive to inferential. Graphical presentation of results.
- Development of multivariable explicative and predictive models. Development and maintenance of machine-learning frameworks for model training and validation.
- Presentation of analysis results to different audiences (internal staff, reports to clients, etc).
- Operate according to Security Policies, Procedures and Manuals.
- Report any suspect of incident or improvement proposals.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:
- University degree in a strong quantitative field (biostatistics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) or university degree in biomedical field (medicine, biology, pharmacy) with a master’s degree or PhD with strong quantitative component (statistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, etc).
- Strong academic background with experience in grant proposals and scientific paper publications in the field of clinical prediction / survival analysis. Previous experience in Machine Learning models applied to clinical scenarios is a plus.
- Postgraduate degree in the field of Data Science/Machine Learning or 2 years of equivalent professional experience is a plus.
- Experience working with observational, epidemiological or clinical databases.
- Solid programming skills in one or more of the following languages: Python, R and SQL.
- English: professional working proficiency.
- You are autonomous and have professional maturity.
- Ability to work in a multinational, multidisciplinary and fast-growing environment.
