Technical Project Manager at Savana

Major Accountabilities where this role is involved:

  • Definition of project scope and objectives together with stakeholders.
  • Project planning, creating detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation in collaboration with line managers, budget, risk assessment, and communication and information plan, among others.
  • Project scheduling, allocating tasks among the members of the project team and setting deadlines, with a focus on creating a smooth, efficient workflow, that maximizes the use of resources and time.
  • Leadership of the execution and oversight of the project’s major phases and critical paths, making sure everyone is meeting technical standards and deadlines, and escalating deviations. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution. Foster a collaborative environment that supports innovation and teamwork.
  • Maintain project time frames, budget estimates and status reports, monitoring the project budget and timeline, and escalating the need of budget or timeline adjustments as needed, while handling unexpected changes or challenges.
  • Keeping project stakeholders in the loop about project progress and any incidents or deviations, proposing measures to mitigate their impact.
  • Working with project team, team leads, and Savana management to ensure project objectives are met through cooperative efforts.
  • Impact Analysis, analyse project results to support clients in decision-making and to refine the innovation roadmap. Assess the effectiveness of deployed strategies and solutions to provide actionable insights for future projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of work breakdown and budget of commercial proposals.
  • Operate according to Security Policies, Procedures and Manuals.
  • Report any suspect of incident or improvement proposals.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Solid technical background in IT or engineering, with a deep understanding of technology, software, data governance and IT systems.
  • Project Management training, with qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2, experience in AGILE Project Management, or similar experience, leading complex technical projects and using project management tools.
  • Proven records of project management of tech-based projects, e.g. software development, IT infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations. Experience in the healthcare sector is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, to build relationships, motivate teams and improve teamwork, fostering clear communication and conflict resolution.
  • Organization, analytic mind and problem-solving skills.
