The role

We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer. Our ideal candidate is highly passionate about technology and an open-minded person who is looking to advance in their professional career.

As a DevOps Engineer at Shalion, your responsibilities include:

• Supporting Platforms team to manage and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure on AWS.
• Improving infrastructure value by process automation.
• Helping Platforms team to manage, maintain, define, improve and grow our on-premise infrastructure.
• Supporting to monitor and manage our edge proxy networks.
• Supporting other team members to define the best workflows according to best practices.

Your profile should include the following:

• 3+ years of experience working as part of a data team as a DevOps/ SRE working with AWS.
• Relevant experience in managing Linux systems and distributed systems.
• Some experience managing Python applications, not full-time programming experience.
• Wide knowledge of Networking.
• Knowledge of High Availability services.
• Docker and containers clustering Ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS...).
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows, issues and pipelines (Github Actions, ArgoCD) .
• Knowledge about concepts of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Being open-minded, humble, assertive and emphatic.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience with Data tools, such as Airbyte or Airflow
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with Datadog
