We are currently looking for an experienced Engineer manager with expertise in the SaaS sector to manage diverse engineering teams. You will be a servant leader with the mission to shape up high performing technology teams. As TOQIO´s Engineering Manager your key responsibilities are:

  • Directly oversee 2 product squads of software engineers.
  • Manage and grow the performance and career of your squads and the individuals.
  • Empower and mentor your squads to build better products.
  • Set the purpose and roadmap for your squads.
  • Be the owner of your squads’ value delivery cycles.
  • Contribute to the design of the Engineering Strategy and Operational Framework
  • Facilitate high impact and complex cross squads projects.
  • Technical leadership challenging solutions to drive simplicity and sustainability.
  • Foster a trustworthy, collaborative and psychologically safe environment.
  • Partner with the people team to recruit, develop and retain talent.

Experience required:

  • 4+ years experience as a Engineer manager or similar positions
  • Recent experience in SaaS companies and / or B2B Fintech projects..
  • Experience growing teams and scaling an organisation.
  • Have managed international teams in multiple locations.
  • Solid foundation in software design
  • Strong growth track record.
  • A track record of following through on commitments
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals

Must have skills:

  • Outstanding written, oral communication skills (English and Spanish) and the ability to connect with other engineers and developers
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Analytical mind

  • Strong organisational leadership skills
  • Ability to design strategies and organise them
  • Strong team spirit
  • Understand how a team based on Squads (Spotify model) works
  • Knowledge of monitoring, application performance management, alerting and escalation tools and procedures

  • Knowledge in areas of our business domain (Cards, compliance, digital banking, …)
  • Interest in Fintech
  • Experience training new employees and mentoring them

  • Salary proposal for an Engineer manager 58.000€ - 70.000€ gross annual base salary depending on the candidate’s knowledge, experience and location.
  • Bonus scheme plan based on ORKs achievements.
